We love when makeup artists come out with complexion products because they just get it. What We Don’t Love: Though this claims to have a 12-hour wear, it's prone to separating on some skin types. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is available at drugstores or pick it up at, , or We Love: While this foundation can be used with any brush or sponge, it launched alongside the brand's F4 Brush for enhanced results. But Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is not TOO shabby! It doesn’t make it onto my “Best Of” list but as a quickie concealer to brighten up my eyes and conceal minor puffiness and tired looking eyes it did the job well and did it easily without looking dry. Although, in recent years formulas have evolved considerably but I still feel they have a bit of a ways to go. It’s a rarity that you run into a concealer formula at the drugstore that isn’t dry. The wear turned out well for me so long as I set with powder and it lasted about seven hours but without powder it’s a bit shorter at about five. I wish it was a wee bit more pigmented as it does blend out a bit sheerer than it applies but the coverage is very natural and flattering however, for darker circles or heavy duty concealing needs this probably won’t do the job. It didn’t fall into my finer lines nor did it accentuate them. The texture is creamy yet fluid but not runny and has a nice hydrating feel that applies smoothly, blended easily, and wasn’t dry in the least. None the less, I wouldn’t say Fit Me Concealer is one of my top drugstore concealers but it’s not too shabby. What the hell were they thinking when they discontinued that stuff!? I can probably count on one hand how many drugstore concealers I actually like one of which is the long gone, never forgotten Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer. Yes, I’m a concealer snob and proud of it. I’ll have to explore a bit more maybe I can mix two or maybe the Sand shade might be a better match!? So, why was I surprised? Because let’s be honest here, drugstore concealers aren’t exactly known for being all that great. I was surprised how much I liked this and now I’m wishing they had a color that actually worked for me. It’s that simple when it comes to concealers. Let me have my Joe Cheng ISWAK/TKA moment and say, I love what I love, I hate what I hate. I don’t even have to try concealer on to know if I’m going to love the formula or not. I tried this out for an entire week which I have to pat myself on the back for as typically concealers are truly a snap judgement for me. I settled on Medium, dished out my six dollars, and I was on my way. Light was too light and the Medium I settled on was just too peachy! And the extended shades don’t extend to a light medium shade which would be where I fit in. But curiosity does set in from time to time and I decided to purchase one and try it out.įor something that is supposed to “Fit Me” I had a hard time selecting a shade. I’m typically disappointed with drugstore concealers so I only venture into trying them when something new pops and likely wouldn’t attempt trying anything from the permanent collection by choice. I’ve never tried this even though the Fit Me line has been around a few years now. Thankfully, they decided to redeem that and Fit Me Concealer is available in twelve total shades. I think most would agree that it’s about time that brands start realizing there’s more than one tone of skin out there.Ĭonsidering the Fit Me Collection was supposed to address a wide array of skin tones it was always puzzling why the concealer color range was so small and available in merely six shades. Maybelline has been pretty busy at work creating new shades for a lot of their more popular products such as this one and also the cult favorite Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Concealer. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer ($6.99) just launched in six new shades and I finally decided to give it a try.
